In the village Tamegroute weaves centuries of artisanal heritage that can be seen in the ceramics. In the small workshops, you can see the skilled craftsmen shaping the clay with an expertise that has been handed down through generations. The characteristic green/yellow glaze is the result of a secret recipe known only to the most experienced craftsmen. The copper oxide in the glaze, combined with the intense heat from the traditional kilns, creates a deep, mysterious colour that catches the eye and tells the story of the desert.
